Easter Welcome Sign!

I finally was able to finish my Easter danglers this weekend! I love coming home and seeing these cute sparkly figures as I walk through my front door. I have to confess that I have this obsession with glitter! I absolutely love it! I have to make my danglers look "shimmerific" each month. I know I am a little over the top with my glitter, but I like it and that's what matters right? Now that I have that out of the way here is a picture of the shimmerific danglers!

Chocolate Bunny!

First things first, I was featured on It's a Hodgepodge Life today! Whoo Hoo am I excited! I have been featured 3 times in the last week. On am on a blog high right now that has me all excited about creating more cute crafts.  Anyway on to my post for today.
Yesterday was like Christmas for me! I received my Cricut Expression in the mail yesterday! I ordered it last week from craft-e-corner. They are having a great sale on Cricuts until tomorrow! I got it and the design calendar for a little over $200. If you sign up on their website you get a 10% discount off of your purchase and free shipping! Anyway I couldn't wait to use it, so I went straight to work. This was my creation that took 10 minutes!

So what do you think of my chocolate bunny? I ♥ it! I wanted to put it onto a wooden plaque, but I didn't want to paint until I could make one or buy one, so I settled for a tile. My favorite part is the bite out of the ear! So I said that when I reach 50 followers that I would do a giveaway and I am almost there, so check back for a giveaway coming up soon!

Eggs!

I found my next project off of someone's blog back in January, but I can't find it now.  I bought these cute glass frames at the Family Dollar.  Each month I change them out with a four letter word! They are simple and cheap. The frames were $3 and then I just cut paper 3 x 2 and added vinyl letters.  I have several people that I make these for each month. Here is what I have used so far...

Easter Topiary

I finished this topiary this last week and I just haven't taken the time to post it yet! So here is my dollar tree topiary. This was so quick and easy. Here is a picture of my supplies minus the wooden dool, ribbon, and circle styrofoam.

I first took the eggs off of the sticks and stuck them into the circle styrofoam. Then I hot glued moss to cover up the styrofoam. I then put the square piece of styrofoam into the container (which I painted blue).  I covered my dowel with ribbon and hot glued each end.  I then the dowel into both pieces of styrofoam and added moss around the bottom. I get excited every time I walk my it, because it is so colorful and cheery!
Here is how it turned out!

Fabric Carrots!

I am so excited about this next project! I am all about the carrots this year for Easter!  I found the cutest idea on how to make them from Sassy Style.  I used their tutorial to make my set!

This project seriously only took less than an hour! I didn't have any of the green stuff that they put at the top of theirs, so I used my colored green wire! I then decide to put them in a glass vase with moss on the bottom.

I then decided that I couldn't have carrots without a rabbit, so I put one by them!

I think Easter just became my new favorite holiday!

Ric Rac Eggs!

I decide that I better get busy on my Easter crafts. I had three wooden easter eggs that I can't remember where I bought them from!

Anyway, I decided to paint them with Behr paint.  I love to go to Home Depot and get the sample paints for $3. They last a long time and it doesn't take too many coats of paint! I used a light pink, light yellow, and light purple! Then I cut a piece of scrapbbook paper 3in to fit across the center egg!  Next I added ribbon and ric rac to the other two eggs! I then proceeded to spray them with opal glitter that costs $4 at Wal Mart.  To finish them up I added colored wire that I had left over from Valentine's and St. Patrick's crafts. I love how they turned out.

CUPCAKE BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

I had my little girl's 1st birthday party last weekend and the theme was CUPCAKES!!! I had so much fun finding and making decorations for her party! BEWARE there are a lot of photos coming up!

I found invitations at Target in the dollar bins along with ribbon to match! I added ribbon to the invitations and a jewel on top of the cupcake. In the inside I printed out the invite and left room to add a birthday hat with a #1 sticker on it! I wanted to make my own, but my daughter's birthday came up on me way too fast!

Here is a picture of the party table!

I made this cupcake birthday banner with the cricut expression! I used the celebrations cartridge, paper, string, and ribbon! It turned out so cute!

I also made a cupcake banner to go around her high chair. It said, "I am 1".
I talked my sister into making her cake. It was a giant cupcake. I borrowed the cake pan from a friend, but I did see them at Wal Mart for $18.  The cute little cake stand that it is sitting on was $7 at TJ Max. Also the table cloth underneath it was fabric that I picked up and hemmed around the edges from Joann's(actually my craftaholic partner in crime hemmed it for me do to the lack of time I had left).

This cupcake stand was inspired by imperfectly beautiful.Go here to see how cute their monogrammed cupcake stand turned out! Oh how I ric rac, stripes, and polka dots! Oh and the adorable cupcake on top was another steel from TJ Maxx for $6.

Don't look at my actual cupcakes! I was running out of time and they didn't get decorate how I wanted, but this picture is to show that I made my own cupcake picks with the cricut.

I thought it would be cute to have some glass containers full of candy! I also thought that you can't go wrong with colored marshmellows! After the kids received their goody bags, then I filled them up with candy and marshmellows to take home!

Another find from TJ Maxx was this cupcake candle! It actually had sprinkles inside the wax and smelt like yummy cupcakes

While looking for ideas on line for decorations I came across some cute crochet cupcakes. I knew that there way I could make them, so I called up my SIL Ang and asked if she could make some. She was able to find a pattern and make these cute little cupcakes!  Also the little picture holders have cupcakes all around the bottom. You can't see them, but I found them at Joann's.

This was the pillowcase dress that I made for her to wear. Sorry this is the best picture I could find of it. Taking pictures of a one year old isn't always the easiest thing to do.  I also asked another friend to make her corker bows to match the dress.  My little girl was such a cute "CUPCAKE"!

A party wouldn't be compete without a goody bag! The goody bag included cupcake pencils, sunglasses, candy necklaces, and plastic cupcakes filled with candy (Wal Mart in the easter section).  The tag on the goody bags was made from the cricut and said, "Thanks for making Jaylee's party so SWEET!".

I made these cupcakes out of baby wash clothes! I didn't have time to make a wrapper for them, so I used the base from the left over goody bags.  I took the cupcake base and put the wash clothes in them, tied ribbon around them and added a cherry on top!  Click here to see the instructions!

Something that I forgot to take a picture of was a cupcake material valance that I made to go above my kitchen  window! I had a little left over from the dress, so I took it and made a curtain. I had so much fun planning and making this cupcake themed party! Thanks for checking it out!
