Mr. Postman Help!

I don't know about anyone else, but it seems like I always have a pile of mail laying around my house! I can't stand it, so I found me a holder for the miserable pile! I found my holder at THE WOOD CONNECTION and the cute little metal plaque to go on it. All I had to do was spray paint the holder and screw on the plaque. Here is the finished product!

I am so excited to put this baby to use!

It is already Wednesday and you know what that means? That's right...

I know that I promised that we would have a double feature this week, but plans changed! I came home from my camping trip and then was invited to go to a Red Sox game with my family!

So of course I accepted the invite and I went on vacation again! So my poor craft blog is getting neglected for another week! I am so sorry, but I do APPRECIATE everyone who takes the time to link up their amazing projects!

Welcome to another week of Hoo are you?
I want to thank all of the amazing HOOTS that link up each week, I am having a great time getting to know you better! I took an unexpected trip to Seattle, so again I will not be able to comment on every one's post right away!

Here are my answers!

1. Do you sing in the shower or car when no one else is listening?

I love to sing! I sing more in the car than in the shower, but I don't care if anyone is in the car or not!

2.  Do you have a nickname you go by now or growing up?

My husband thinks it's funny to call me the Lez-an-ator! Growing up my dad called me Leslie Annie Bannannie! In school my friends would call me lessers, les, and a few boys thought it was funny to call me Lesbian! I know the things people come up with to call you!

3. Do you speak another language?

I wish I did! I know a little bit of sign language, but not enough to carry on a conversation! I have two cousins that are deaf!

4. Where is you favorite vacation spot?

I love vacation! It doesn't really matter to me as long as I get one. I do enjoy the Oregon Coast and anywhere warm!

5. What do you cook the most for dinner?

We have tacos a lot! My family loves them and they are easy! My husband also loves to grill up things regularly!

We're off again!

I am so excited to tell you where I am going! We just got home from camping for 6 days! We had a great time! It took us 12 hours to get home, because my husband decided to purchase a Toy Hauler (camp trailer) and an Artist Prowler (side by side). So we got home late Wednesday night and now the kids and I are headed off to Seattle at the spur of the moment. We are headed to watch a Red Sox game against the Mariners! Go Red Sox!

It was a last minute decision by my parents and sisters. I am so excited to go, but I feel like I am so far behind on my blog! I have been given some awards in the last few weeks and I wanted to let the blogs know that gave then to me that I will get them up next week. I also want to thank all my faithful readers for your patience and hopefully things will slow down and I can get back to crafting. I will still have my link parties open!

I'm BACCCKKKKK!

I just spent 12 hours in the car coming home from camping! I know crazy right? Anyway I am so excited that I have a guest post today by Mandy from Sugar Bee Craft! So please show her some blogging love!

Hello Night Owl Crafting readers!!  I'm excited to be here.  I am Mandy from over on Sugar Bee Craft Edition.  I am lucky to stay home with my four kids and enjoy all the fun that comes with it.  I also (obviously!) love crafts and creating.  Here's the whole gang in our "crazy" faces at the lake a few weeks ago.

I've been blogging on my craft blog for about a year and half now, and it just keeps growing.  I feel that if I can do something, you can too, so a lot of my posts are tutorials.  I do a lot more than crafts (although plenty of those!) - - I especially love easy sewing projects, like this Shirred Pillowcase Dress.

I love making glass tile pendants and made some with pictures and even clip art using the school mascot (perfect gifts for grandmas and teachers!)

I love to feature favorite recipes of mine, like my go-to treat whenever it's potluck: Furnkies!

I also dabble in photography and photoshop elements tips - I'm not an expert, but I like to share what I know, like how to get that "blurry background" look from your pictures.

And recently I did a whole redo of our basement and created a great Playroom all centered around the wall tree that turned out perfect - I LOVE it all!!

Also, I have a link party on Tuesdays called Take-A-Look Tuesday - - where YOU can link up what you've been working on - I love checking out all the fun ideas and projects.

1. Have you ever broke a bone or anything on your body?

I am so fortunate to say NO! I have never had a broke bone! I have had several injuries to my ankles, my right knee, and bumps and bruises. Nothing major though! I better knock on wood before I jinx myself!

2. What is your favorite drink?

I love PEPSI and Dr. Pepper.

3. When is your birthday! You don't have to tell the year you were born!

My birthday is November 28! I will be 28 this year! I hate my birthstone, I think it is the ugliest one out of all the months. It is yellow topaz! YUCK!

4. Do you have an allergies?

I am not allergic to any foods, but I have the typical seasonal allergies!

5. What is one of your all time favorite movies?

I love Son In Law! I think it is the funniest show! Paully Shore cracks me up!

Vinyl family name frame

I am so so excited about the project I am showing off today!

I have been wanting to get my Etsy store going, so this is what I am starting off with.

I received this stinkin' cute gift when I got married!

My mom owns a vinyl business, so we started making these to sell to people. Our frame is a little different than the one I recieved. Here is one that I just made for a couple that just got married!

I think it turned out darling! I just set up my Etsy account and have these available in black or brown and with or without ribbon.

I will be adding more things to my shop shortly!

1. Do you prefer sweet or salty foods?
I think I am more of a sweet person than a salty person. I never add salt to my food and I get so annoyed when tons of salt get dumped on my fries!
 

2. Name your 3 BEST personality traits!
I am a good listener, compassionate, and honest!
 

3. Name your 3 worst personality traits!
I tend to be late no matter how hard I try to get somewhere on time, bullheaded (I always like to be right), and I am a people pleaser which isn't always a good thing!
 

4. Do you collect anything?
I can't say that I have one set thing I collect, except craft supplies!
 

5. What is your favorite season of the year?

I love the summer time! I love the heat and all the yummy smells and activities that come along with this season. I also enjoy fall. I love when the leaves change and it cools off a little. I really hate winter. I hate the cold and how miserable it is.

Blog Swapping with Plenty of Picnics!

Hello! My name is Valerie and I am from plentyofpicnics.blogspot.com. Thank you Leslie for swapping with me!

Blogging has become my new "Out"!  I wanted a place to save/share all the things that I work on - so I created plentyofpicnics.blogspot.com .  I find that life contains plenty of picnics  - when I'm with my kids, with my sisters, with my friends, with my husband, - I hope to find plenty more picnics in the years ahead - celebrating takes a few minutes and leaves a life full of great memories!

I love being a Mom, love being outside (if it's under 90 degrees) love reading, and I can't get enough of sewing!  My favorite is quilting, but I also love simple projects so I can use all the amazing fabrics at the quilt store!  Here is one I made up for my littlest.  We've been visiting Grandma at the Care Center - lots - and she needed to take things to keep her busy - thus   "My Art Bag"   - enjoy:)!

1. What is your favorite restaurant?

2. What kind of music do you like?

3. What do you watch on TV?

4. Do you enjoy reading and if so what kind of

Here are my answers!

1. What is your favorite restaurant?

I love to eat out so this is hard to pick just one. I love the Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Outback, and Chili's!

 

2. What kind of music do you like?

I really like country, but I listen to other varieties of music as long as it's not rap or the blues!

 I listen to the Highway, 20 on 20. and the pulse most of the time in the car on my XM radio! 

 

3. What do you watch on TV?

I am a big time reality TV girl! I like to watch American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, The Biggest Loser, Bachelor and Bachelorette, Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent, and so on. I also like Desperate Housewives, Army Wives, Grey's Anatomy, Friday Night Lights, and Dateline. The music channels are what is usually on my TV, unless my son takes over and watches cartoons!

 

4. Do you enjoy reading and if so what kind of 

books do you read?

I am not a big reader. When I was in 7th grade I was forced to read a lot and not things that I was interested in, so I have never really liked it since. I do like the Twilight series and I enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks!

 

 

 

 

5. What is your favorite color?

I know this sounds weird, but I really like the color BROWN! 

After that it would be purple and teal!
